The Top 10 Blog Networks by traffic

I got curious to know who are the blog networks that are still around and are still getting traffic.

I was surprised at how few there are and how little traffic many networks are getting.

Is this list comprehensive? No. Is it authoritative? No. Is is the best I could come up with for now? Yes. Got suggestions? Proof to the contrary? Let me know. I’ll gladly edit.

For now, here are the top 14 blog networks I have found. (According to Alexa Ranking).

Top also meaning the higher numbers are/may be getting 40,000 views or more a day.  Numbers 1-10 are well over 1 million views a month.

How blog network owners will decide to include your blog

In my previous post The Power of a Blog Network – Part 2 of 2 I ended with the promise – of writing about what the criteria is for whether or not a blog network will want you and your blog?

FWIW, here is a A list of the Top 40 Blog Networks.

It’s old, which gives me pause to think, maybe I should create a new list. Good for long term traffic. Hmm… Sorry, off topic.

Question - What is the criteria for whether or not a blog network will have you?

Answer: It’s the same for whether or not a prospective employer will hire you.

Not  a few people go into interviews wanting to know about the health care benefits, the holidays and working hours and such things. In short the interviewee wants to know what’s in it for them in the new position.

When I counsel folk going into a blog, um, job interview, I tell them to make a point of letting the prospective employer what it is they have to offer to the company, what it is they have to bring to the table to make the company a better place, how they can serve in the new position.
