I have Disney and Disneyland on my mind.
My daughter was off school for a week so she and I visited the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.
It got me to thinking about relationships between Disneyland and Content Marketing. Seriously.
Disneyland has a castle in the middle. Just in front of the castle is a roundabout. And from that roundabout there are spokes that go to the various lands – adventure, tomorrow, fantasy, frontier and so on.
Disney’s philosophy was that people got tired just walking. It was better to have hub where grandparents could just sit and wait while the young’uns went off to play.
Content is at the hub of any effective marketing strategy.
Solid content can reach into any world and often more than one.
I teach my students that everything has to do with everything. If they can’t make a connection … then they are lousy writers.
Indeed the connection can be stretched, and I have stretched it … but for the most part, there are connections.
