Blogging for money and Web Traffic – tip #24 – social networking

More adventures of Wilby

Social networking is my weakest link. But blogging for money tip #24 is for driving home the need to be social, even virtually. And I am NOT talking about Facebook, LinkedIN and the like. I will address those in future posts.

A blogger has to have friends, friends that write blogs, friends that read blogs, friends they link to and get backlinks from.

Dave at MyChinaConnection knows this well AND has applied the principles well. I have been working with Dave from the getgo on his blog. He is one of the few who does what I told him.

He faithfully reads other blogs, links to them when appropriate. He gets in forums and on chats to make friends. And make them he does. They, in turn, without his prompting post links to his site here and there. Those kinds of connections are golden and the more a blogger has of them the better.

The results are in. Check out Dave’s sitemeter and what he has been able to accomplish in just a few months.

If you want to grow your traffic = make more money. Make friends, real friends online.

And remember, you are NOT trying to make money off your friends. The money will come elsewhere.

More details on how to do this in future posts.
