There is a problem with blogging. Actually I can think of several. Being too close to the refrigerator, for example, is one. Wasting time watching your traffic stats is another. Getting intoxicated is a third.
Intoxicated?
Yup.
Today, the CosmoFairNetwork (that’s mine!) surpassed 100,000 views. In one day!

In one hour we had more than 10,000 (10,344!) folk show up. Thank goodness I was in bed when it happened. Come to think of it, maybe that’s what woke me up last night. A movement in the Force.
But I wasn’t in bed when I woke up. Huh?!
I logged on to check how the day was doing – I saw the traffic coming – 10,000, 9,000, 8,000 then 6,000-5,000/hr for several hours. Yeah, I know that because there I was sitting and watching the sitemeter.
A waste of time? Indeed.
Fun? Absolutely.
I’ll be happy when the days are here that 100K views is just another day.
But they aren’t here yet. And I am not ashamed to admit I watched it happened…and I worked to make it happen…and Parasshuram, the manager of CosmoFairNetwork, worked even harder to make it happen. (Nobody finds traffic better than Parasshuram!)
I’d be embarrassed to admit I sit and watch the traffic meters all day every day, however. I don’t.
Toot! Toot! That’s me blowing our own horn. We at CFN are quite happy today and are indeed looking for more similar days to come.
Thanks for reading.

It’s good to see that what you teach works.
Thanks for your kind words, Richard. I look forward to the day when you have similar traffic.
