I have read this post at Prof. Bill Belew’s blog explaining about his hardest problems faced while blogging. I faced a lot of problems too, while I was blogging. I took a lot of stress for blogging. However, my hard work paid off and I’m happy. This is the last week in my amazing blogging class. I’m planning to continue my blog and all the greens that I would get in the future is just because of my course “Marketing with Social Media”. Thanks to my Professor.
However, these are the hardest problems that I faced during blogging:
1. Blogging was really hard because it was not my cup of tea.
I’m an artist and I hate to write. I always wanted to talk through my paintings. I just couldn’t digest this writing and all. I was really stressed. I had to prepare myself mentally. My blog is about Arts and Crafts. My blog has explanation to many world famous paintings. I realized that, I just knew the name of the painting and the painter’s name. I learned a lot and understood that I knew very less. I learnt that blogging is learning and letting others learn.
2. Crafts are easy to explain but very time consuming when making an art piece.
I have a post on box painted with gorgeous colors. It was fun to paint a box, but it took me a half day to paint and let it dry. I took pictures because I can’t even copy them from the internet. Crafts should be 100% genuine. This was very challenging because this whole process ate all my time. At the end, I could post only one post of 300 words.
3. I couldn’t allot enough time for blogging.
I also work full time, but I used to get so tired by the time I reach my home. Sometimes, I didn’t even have time to do laundry. That is why I wrote posts on weekends and scheduled them to post on the weekdays.
4. My daily life and blog niche are not at all related.
My blog is about Arts and crafts as you already know. I am also a software engineer, but both of them doesn’t match. I had to think for Arts and crafts topics. If my blog was about cooking, I can just take pictures of my daily food and publish recipes. But the challenging part about art is that it needs a lot of research and new information. My hobby became my daily job. I felt like I had two jobs where both are equally important. I took a lot of stress for this. Well, now I enjoy blogging because I believe that it is part of my life.
5. After 70+ posts, I ran out of ideas.
I literally had no idea and thought that it was the end of blogging for me. I really did a lot of research to get ideas. In the end, I read arts column in all news paper for latest news. That solved my problem.
