Through one week learning from Professor Bill Belew‘s business class “Marketing with Social Media” in ITU, and after experienced many setbacks, I finally created and log in my personal website, “Walking in Ancient Silk Road” successfully.
After reading Professor Bill Blew’s recent blog article on “How to promote your blog – 5 steps to take today“, combined several characteristics of the guidance of Professor Bill Belew with the process of my web page created, I am thinking about how to design my web page in the next few weeks to make it more attractive with more features.
Before started promoting my website or introducing it to friends or other people, I should be proud of my blog. As if we are selling the same new product or technology. First of all, we need to be very familiar with our own products to be very confident of our own design or technology. We should believe our own product or technology is the best. With our self-confidence, our products will give our customers the first good impression.
I will try to put my website link as my signature in everywhere, like in my email signature, in my online social network pages, like LinkedIn, Facebook, QQ, and Twitter, even in my business card. When I participated in a number of commercial activities, know a lot of people and exchange my business card with them, they will see my website link. If my blog is quite distinctive and attractive, I believe that my customers will produce interactive conversation with me on my blog.
Keep personality: My website “Walking in Ancient Silk Road” is about travel in Xinjiang, the biggest province in Western part of China, I know you will encounter a lot of similar websites in talking the same topic. In order to make the website have special characteristics, I do need to spend a lot of time and energy to think about how to innovate. My preliminary ideas make full use of my personal experience, due to the introduction of the Travel place where I was born and grew up, I can talk my childhood and changes I have seen in my hometown. I am familiar with the culture and the people’s lives in Xinjiang. I believe this will be different from other similar web pages. I would choose some representative picture and put in my website, and will consider some local specialties music on my page.
The next learning process in the past three months, I will continue to update my webpage. I welcome you to visit my blog for more updates. I guarantee if you are seriously reading every article, you will certainly have a complete understanding to the ancient Western China’s culture, history, religion and ethnic customs. Of course, if these articles are likely to attract you to be able to go to Xinjiang, and experience personally grassland and snow-capped mountains there
