PanAsianBiz was where I first got my feet wet in blogging. My introduction. My initiation. My baptism. My first steps.
I had heard the word ‘blogging’ for maybe a year or more and thought to myself, “Hmm… I ought to look into it.” But didn’t. Then I did.
When I finally took the dive, I played around with a site, www.writingup.com . Don’t bother looking, it has fallen off the face of the Internet. That is, it is no longer hosted anywhere.
While playing around at WritingUp, I exchanged comments with someone, sorry I don’t remember his name (Matt?), and he told me of a business blog network, www.knowmoremedia.com (still around, sorta) and recommended I approach them to write about business in Asia. It had come up in one of my posts that I had spent considerable time living in Asia (almost 20 years).
I looked at KMM’s sites and saw they did not have anything devoted to international business, much less something in Asia. So I pitched my idea jumped through some hoops and sent off some trial posts. And…drum roll, please, got accepted.
PanAsianBiz was born. First post – March of ’06.
The site is about, see if you can guess – bsiness in the PanAsian region.
I wrote about China a LOT. And Japan. And ventured into Russia, Korea and India. Now the site has a lot to do with India…mostly because my team of writers live in India.
PAB, we call it, was first. Have a look, if you will.
