This was fun for me. We studied marketing with the king of social media at a graduate school in a university in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley.
Learning to do Content Marketing Right is Fun
I did the teaching. My students did the learning. But make no mistake about it, I learned a LOT as well.
Some things I thought about content and inbound marketing and social media were validated and no doubt some things I thought were not.
- which topics perform best
- what pace is best
- how many internal, external and back links.
- long-form vs short-form posts
Do you want to learn to be a better content marketer?
We also learned which students have a personality suited for this type of work and which do not.
The expression – like herding cats – applies here. There were some 60+ MBA level graduate students in front of me, some professors and not a few countries represented – India, China, the US, Kenya!
At least one student worked in Chinese.
Inbound marketing works in search engines in other languages? Baidu for example.
Reach out and I will tell you what we learned. You will learn, too.
Students provided weekly updates:
- what they learned
- their successes
- their failures
- their challenges.
And I provided analysis or confusion as the case may be.
Explore this site and learn from us – me, my students. And share with us what insights you are gaining also.
The comments are open. And remember blogs are social media, too. In fact, they are the KING.
You can make money doing content marketing right. I’ll teach you how.
