A blog is a personal diary where you can pen down your personal thoughts and feelings. Previously in the old days people used to write a lot of stuff in their personal diaries and those were either never seen or never read by any. Thus, they used to disappear along with them in due course of time. Some very useful and important even could not be shared and some were even discovered after a long time when the person who wrote it was even dead. But as the world grew and things changed along with the internet age, things became possible. Nowadays, we even can roam around the world even without moving a little from our lazy homes. Thus, a new era of writing came to this world by any common people and was called Blogging.
A blog is nothing but a daily diary for you which you are ready to share that with the world.
It can even be personal or just for fun. It’s a collaborative space of daily ideas and others views upon what you pen down. It is a collection of useful links. It is your own private thoughts expressed in your own words, feeling and your own way.
Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules. A blog gives you your own voice on the web. It’s a place to collect and share things that you find interesting— whether it’s your political views , a personal diary, or links to web sites you like and want others even to see and share. It’s like your social network status where you can spend lots of time writing about you, about the world and much more.
Many people use a blog just to organize their own thoughts, while others use it as a medium to communicate with the whole world, spread news, arrange and seek views about people on topics and much more. It goes by the saying The pen is mightier than the sword.
A few days before, I too came to know about the power of blogging by enrolling in a class of Marketing with social media by Dr. Bill Belew at my university. The way he explained the need of blogging and social media in our daily life, impressed me and I started really thinking that every now and then we hear something, we think about doing something, achieve something and why not write it down to let the whole world know about it.
So keeping that in mind, I started writing on my blog site and even invited others to do the same. I felt really good and am trying to make blogging as a habit. It is like talking to the whole world, same as we do in Facebook but it is only limited to friends, but your blog is open to the whole world to read and reply if they feel good about your work or even let you know about them. It feels good to be with people and share what you have in mind instead of just thinking and letting them go away. I start blogging down my thoughts everyday and it makes me feel happy at at the end of the day when I go to sleep. I even dreamt of writing things the other day so as to keep myself active in the field of blogging.
It all depends upon you, whether you like blogging everyday or not. But at the end, when you use Facebook and other social stuff to check what others are doing, you even feel sharing your views in form of writing. These days I feel blogging as a whole new and better stuff, instead of wasting my precious time sitting idle on social media sites. It even brings creativity and new thoughts to mind everyday. Sometimes, it is a bit boring though but still its a new art which I have been trying out a few months back. Till date, it’s been a good place to be and I also feel good when I share my views.
This week I have plans to write about family and social welfare and some writing as a guest post on my other friends website. Lets see where time takes and how much I learn from this new art and contribute towards the society and myself well being.
