When we open the internet, we generally use search engines like Google, Yahoo Search, Bing or ask to search different things. While Google is of course the king of net, Yahoo comes just next to it. Check out this article to know why we are saying that Yahoo search engine is losing its charm.
Some recent reports indicated the fact that Yahoo Search is losing its charm with a share drop to 13.5 percent in the month of April, 2012. However, as per Experian Hitwise’s figures, Yahoo indicated monthly as well as annual gains. In comparison, Bing is doing well with 30 percent of its searches making some headlines.
No question on the fact that Google is gaining as always in terms of search engines. There is no competition to Google, as such with its profits rising to the highest recorded search share of 66.6 percent in the last few years.
In April along, more than 17.1 billion searches were made and out of them, Google came on top with 11.4 billion searches. Bing was next to Google with 2.6 billion searches and then came Yahoo with 2.3 billion searches. After them was Ask with 511 million searches and AOL with 271 million searches.
