Come on now, is it really possible to make 6 figures blogging?
The answer is a resounding yes…especially if you use the two digits beyond the decimal point.
But I am NOT talking about those two digits.
I mean to ask and answer about making 6 digits ALL to the left of the decimal point.
It is possible. Been there done that.
Keep in mind what Will Rogers said, “If you can do it, it ain’t bragging.”
It ain’t my intention to brag here…just be transparent and hopefully be encouraging.
To be sure, a 6-figure blogger is something along the lines of Santa Claus and a smart fair-haired boy/girl that you sometimes hear about but never actually meet.
I am not going to post a screen shot here, but members to my meetups have seen me log in and show them my earnings from some of my sites.
But what’s the answer to making 6-figures?
Simply put – more traffic to your site or your network of sites.
To be sure you can make money from ads alone, or by farming yourself out as a consultant for your service that is related to your blog or some combination of both. But I am talking about the blog making money…not me. Getting enough traffic to your blog so that the ads alone will generate the 6-figures.
How much traffic? I maintain that if you can make a penny a page, you’re doing great. That being said, you will need at least 10,000,000 page views a year to get to $100K. That’s not quite 1M monthly but it’s close.
Which begs the question – how do you get a million page views a month?
I will answer that question at NMX Live in Vegas in January.
The simple answer is 4-fold.
Write a lot.
Write for a long time.
How long does it take? Well, I know the answer generally speaking…but for you…it will be write until they show up.
Not there yet?
The simple truth…bloggers don’t get enough page views because they don’t write enough. Write more and more people will come.
